The Hour Is Getting Late

There is a very real drama unfolding all around us, and also within each one of us. The intensity of this drama is without recent precedent and is now being realized on a stage spanning the length and breadth of the planet and beyond.

It’s a race against time, played-out within a gathering storm of conflicting energies. Human aspiration and inspiration clashing head-on with inhuman domination and destruction. And we are all caught in the gathering turbulence, witnessing the rapid dissolution of props and and pillars we once took to be secure and dependable fixtures of our daily lives.

Our home, this planet, is in deep crisis, raped, polluted and torn by war, she is on the edge of collapse. While human society carries on as though there was no crisis at all; just a number of disturbances, inconveniences and maybe a slight feeling of insecurity creeping in at the edges. (more…)

Calling Forth the Great Revolution

Real revolution starts from within. There can be no outward revolution without an inward revolution to start the fire.

The word revolution derives from the word ‘evolution’, a process of growing awareness. So ‘re’volution is a return, a revisiting, of a state of growing awareness. In this case, a dynamic state, as per the revolution associated with the complete turning of a wheel through 360 degrees.

There is no other way of changing a society than through the process of change in the individuals who make up that society. Nor is it possible to change people from outside. However, it is possible to inspire an awakening, or reawakening of the individual or individuals, through sharing awakened energy.

This is the essential significance of the word ‘guru’ or teacher. But rare indeed is the guru who both preaches and practices true awareness raising. Holistic awareness. For these are true revolutionary qualities.

But revolution does not usually feature in the consciousness raising messages of gurus. Maybe this is because most stop at the first station and then float up to the ether beyond. That station stop goes under the heading ‘spiritual emancipation’. However, spiritual emancipation is not synonymous with
holistic change, the only force capable of catalysing true revolution. (more…)

The Non Compliant Challenge – Where Are We?

As the ugly realities of the control system become ever more apparent so does the dialogue increase about what can be done about it. ‘Non compliance’ features prominently as an important tool for counteracting the slide into slavish conformation with the powers that be.

In general, as I see it, there are two main strands of choice available to those who wake-up and feel impelled to take a stand: the outward focussed activist approach and the one that favours withdrawal from the system and ceasing to comply with the status quo: ‘non compliance’. Practising both at once is a pretty tall order, but not impossible.

In affect, they are two sides of the same coin. Both are valid ‘actions’ to counteract the abysmal slide into slavery. However the activist approach usually demands having one foot in the status quo in order to be affective in ‘working from the inside’ and/or going out to make a stand in defiance of the rape of the planet. Whereas the non compliance approach makes its stand through refusing to comply with demands of the status quo control system in everyday life. (more…)

Occupy Warsaw! Polish Farmers Create Clandestine City Camp

Something rather remarkable is happening in the middle of Poland’s capital, Warsaw, and it’s not exactly a capital city spectacle. In fact, rather the opposite.
Tucked-away under a line of trees, opposite the Prime Minister’s Palace in Central Warsaw, is a small ramshackle camp, comprising two tents, a Second World War wood fired mobile cooking apparatus, some chairs and benches, a pile of logs and a number of banners, posters and logos.
This is ‘Green City’ a symbolic and actual site of occupation by farmers fighting to save their livelihood and way of life. At the time of writing, it is in its 28th day of existence – and it isn’t planning on going anywhere, in spite of the fact that it is illegal and suffering under a daily fine imposed by the Polish government. A fine which is, in many ways, a small replication of what is happening on a much bigger scale to farming communities throughout the European Economic Community and beyond. (more…)

The Reengineering of Life – and How to Prevent It

What do atmospheric aerosol geoengineering, the genetic engineering of foods and the reordering of the human genome – have in common?

They are all part of an attempt to alter the fundamental building blocks of life and to put in their place an artificial substitute that is one hundred percent subject to the will of its owner-controllers.

Clearly these owner-controllers fully believe their personal vision of ‘the perfect life’ to be greatly superior to any other. But no megalomaniac knows that he is a megalomaniac, so unless physically removed from their position of influence – much damage can be expected to result.

Many of us today puzzle over the weird, surreal even, diversion that life appears to have taken to have allowed such anti-life authoritarian figureheads to gain any traction at all on this planet. Not just to espouse their insane visions, but to actually garner enough support to set them in motion. (more…)

The Future Is the Farmer

At a farmer’s fair in Krakow, South Poland, in early May, I spoke to a Romanian peasant. He was demonstrating clay pot making using a foot treadle to spin the plate upon which the pots were being formed by his deft hands.

I remarked how attractive I found this technology due to its lack of reliance upon any electrical power source. He nodded, saying “No other power required.” The conversation swung to the need to remain independent; independent of state and industry controlled sources of power. Because being dependent upon centralised power, be it energetic or political, means always owing something to someone or something; whereas to be free of such a burden enables one to form strategic relations where one pleases. This form of sharing creates a natural form of interdependence with fellow humans, rather than dependence on governments and corporations. He nodded again.

A colourful troupe of Gorale (Polish mountain farmers) were stamping their feet to the rousing notes of a merry fiddle while weaving a circular pattern through and amongst each other, shouting out in occasional bravura. My Romanian friend was looking-on, his non-treadle foot tapping out the folk song’s rhythms. After a little he turned towards me and said “The farmer is the future.” (more…)

The World Is Our Garden – Defend It or Lose It

When we walk into a carefully nurtured and diverse garden, we are struck by its beauty and its sense of completeness. We are enraptured by its scents and its mysteries. We are enlivened by its colours, both vivid and subtle, and we are nourished by the freshness that fills our lungs.

Altogether, the majority of sentient beings will surely concur, this garden is a most agreeable place to be – and should someone emerge who threatens to desecrate this sacred space – the reaction will be to jump to its defence and protect it against such a criminal action. (more…)

Constructing the New Society

‘Eight Steps’

We who engage in postulating solutions to the dominant issues of this time, use much energy speculating on unknown outcomes. But how much energy do we use in laying the ground for a future of our own making?

How much time do we give to devising the template for the new society we must create?

To bring a dream into reality is hard work; it’s a lifetime’s work at the very least. Yet many hold back from ever embarking – rationalising that such a quest is a futile exercise that will surely be swamped by a reactionary and repressive status quo.

Somehow, this failure to embark on the single most important mission of our lives, characterises a great swath of sleepwalking humanity. But not only, also a significant percentage of supposed ‘spiritual aspirants’ who confuse the azure bubble in which they live with the stark reality of the new world which needs to be chiselled and honed into existence.

At The Point of No Return

The wrong people are in charge… that’s pretty obvious. But what is not so obvious is how they got there? And once having found an open gate, why have we left them to graze the best pastures while we grovel around in the barren fallow?

A very strange phenomenon..

This World is run by those of whom the great majority have absolutely no qualifications to be at the helm of anything – not even a small rowing boat. Yet, somehow or other, there they are perched in their palaces, surveying their empires – while simultaneously engaging in the systematic degradation of planet Earth. (more…)
